so..
i was part of the sound crew for this year's baybeats. it was a hell of an experience. one, i don't think anyone could ever dream of going through.
it was tough.
50kg speakers x 10
line array speakers as tall as me
subwoofers which took 4-6 guys to carry
power cables the size of my thighs
fuck.
then there was the performances.
the constant worrying that something will go wrong,
the constant anxiousness that a microphone might fail.
the constant incoming deafness.
but honestly, i wouldn't trade this experience for anything else in the world.
it was wonderful, being on stage with the bands and being able to rock out with them.
even the 3 nights sleeping in the theatre on an armchair, was alright.
every bruise, sunburnt part of my skin, joint pain, scratch, wound was worth it.
knowing now, that this is what i will be doing for the rest of my life, i cannot wait.
i cannot even begin to comprehend the amount of possibilites and rewards i will reap in the future.
i thoroughly enjoy every single bit of the past week and i can't wait to start again.
Thank you God, for allowing me to live my dreams.
for allowing me to believe.
